BECOME AN AIKA MEMBER

Becoming an AIKA member means joining a professional context dedicated to training, in-depth study and qualified dissemination of Applied Kinesiology in Italy.

AIKA is aimed at healthcare professionals and qualified figures interested in developing rigorous knowledge of Applied Kinesiology, respecting its history, principles and clinical application.

Becoming a member also means supporting the Academy’s work and contributing to the growth of a professional community dedicated to Applied Kinesiology.

Why become an AIKA member?

Applied kinesiology (AK) is a discipline that uses muscle testing for functional evaluation of the nervous system.

The methodology is primarily focused on neuromuscular function, as it relates to structural, chemical and mental mechanisms of physiological regulation. AK, born in the chiropractic field, constitutes a clinical approach with multidisciplinary applications.

The minimum requirements to become an ordinary member are:

  1. completion of an educational program with at least 3,500 university hours;
  2. degree in medicine, dentistry, or psychology, or in chiropractic or osteopathy if obtained in a nation where said qualification enables diagnosis and treatment of morbid conditions (other qualifications will be evaluated case by case).
  3. Registration will be considered valid only after the application has been approved and the bank transfer for the annual membership fee has been received.

SUPPORTING MEMBERS:

It is possible to become a supporting member if enrolled in a training course at the end of which, upon obtaining the degree, one obtains the requirements to apply for registration as an ordinary member. Furthermore, researchers and university professors qualify as supporting members.

The aspiring member must present, together with the present data, a photocopy of the degree diploma. If this is not possible due to loss, theft or other reason, the following will be accepted as an alternative: 1) a copy of the professional practice license, or 2) an authentic letter issued by the institution where the candidate obtained the qualification, stating that the same has completed the degree course with positive outcome.

MEMBERSHIP FEE

The annual AIKA membership fee is €150. Registration is subject to verification of the required qualifications and approval of the application by AIKA.
