- The 2027 Applied Kinesiology Basic Course introduces professionals to the fundamental principles of AK through a progressive theoretical and practical path, divided into four weekends.
The program guides participants from understanding the neurofunctional basis of manual muscle testing to using the primary tools of AK, such as TL, challenge, categories, muscle techniques, IRT, and initial craniosacral and metabolic integrations.
The objective is not to transmit isolated techniques, but to provide an initial methodological structure for observing the patient through an integrated functional reading, consistent with the AIKA educational tradition.

The seminar will be conducted by an AIKA teaching team composed of professionals with training in Applied Kinesiology, chiropractic, osteopathy, and functional approaches, with the supervision and contribution of Dr. Jean Pierre Meersseman.

Dr. Jean-Pierre Meeresseman, D.C., Hon. D.I.B.A.K.
President and founder of AIKA in 1988 and founding Vice-President of ICAK-Italy in 2006, with a degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, he has been teaching in Europe and worldwide for over 40 years and is well known for discovering the relationship between dental occlusion and postural defects. After practicing briefly in France, Meersseman moved to Como, Italy, where he founded the Chiropractic Center at Clinica Sanrocco in 1972. In 1990, he founded the JPM Chiropractic Clinic, dedicating himself particularly to the sports field, following AC Milan for years and creating the MilanLab project with the aim of maintaining the health of footballers and athletes and improving their performance. During the 1980s, Meersseman, and Chiropractic in general, enjoyed great consideration in Italy from numerous figures in politics, entertainment, and industry who came to the San Rocco Clinic in Como for treatment: in the sports world alone, over 100 world and Olympic champions were treated by Jean Pierre Meersseman.

Graduated in Systemic Counseling in 2022. Undergraduate in Psychology and Neuroscience. From 2011 to 2024 he was Osteopath for Pallacanestro Varese (A1)
Dr. Emanuele Mignani, D.C.
Dr. Emanuele Mignani, Doctor of Chiropractic, was born in Parma in 1995 and graduated in 2022 from the Barcelona College of Chiropractic.
Throughout his training, he has participated in several specialized seminars, focusing particularly on the AK technique with over 300 hours of completed coursework and the Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), in which he completed 80 hours of training.
He integrates tools and procedures derived from Applied Kinesiology (AK) and Total Body Modification (TBM) into his clinical practice, using them for functional patient assessment and the treatment of traumatic events and functional dysfunctions.
Within the course, he will contribute specifically to the in-depth study of the craniosacral system from an AK perspective, with a focus on the integration between the sacrum, cranium, diaphragm, and the patient’s functional response.
Dr. Andrea Zocchi, D.C.
Dr. Andrea Zocchi, Doctor of Chiropractic, graduated in 2023 from the Barcelona College of Chiropractic, an institution accredited by the European Council on Chiropractic Education.
He has deepened his knowledge of Applied Kinesiology through ongoing training with AIKA, ICAK-Spain, and international instructors, including Dr. Jean Pierre Meersseman, Dr. David Leaf, Dr. George Gangemi, Dr. James Townhill, and other specialists in the discipline.
His training integrates the study of chiropractic with specializations in Gonstead, Sacro Occipital Technique, IRT, functional neurology, head trauma, occlusion, and posture. Within the course, he will contribute particularly to the practical part and the integration of AK principles into functional patient assessment.
Dr. Michele Bernocchi, D.O., MSc Ost, MSc CPM
Dr. Michele Bernocchi earned his Master of Science in Osteopathy from Kingston University in the United Kingdom and his Master of Science in Clinical Management of Pain from the University of Edinburgh.
During his training, he delved into various clinical fields, including sports osteopathy, dental osteopathy, Applied Kinesiology, and Integrated Functional Medicine.
Since 2021, he has collaborated with Dr. Jean-Pierre Meersseman, focusing particularly on evaluating the relationships between occlusion, posture, and the neuro-musculoskeletal system.
In the field of kinesiology, he has completed advanced training courses dedicated to functional neurology, functional recovery, and metabolic assessment according to the principles of Applied Kinesiology, studying under instructors including Dr. Joseph Shafer, Dr. Luca Vannetiello, and Dr. Michael Lebowitz.
He has also integrated his expertise with Functional Medicine courses led by Dr. Joseph Cannillo, Dr. Philippe Dudal, and the Italian Association of Functional Medicine — AIMF Health.
His background also includes in-depth studies in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, with a focus on mind-body dynamics and their potential relevance in the functional assessment of the patient.

- understanding the role of neurolymphatic and neurovascular points;
- applying the first procedures related to IRT;
- orienting themselves in the analysis of the three categories;
- knowing the main muscle techniques of AK;
- understanding the fundamentals of the craniosacral approach from an AK perspective;
- receiving an initial introduction to the meridian system and the metabolic component;
- setting up a basic protocol to begin integrating AK into their professional practice.

Registration cancellation clause and penalties.
Cancellation of registration by the participant.
Registration for the seminar involves reserving a seat and organizational commitment by AIKA, also in relation to educational planning, instructor availability, venue management, and any training materials.
In case of withdrawal from participation, the participant must provide written notice to the AIKA Secretariat as soon as possible.
Fees already paid will not be refunded, except at the organization’s discretion in exceptional and duly documented cases.
If withdrawal is communicated with sufficient advance notice before the seminar start date, AIKA may grant the participant a credit equal to the fee already paid, which can be used for registration in a subsequent seminar organized by AIKA, subject to seat availability, participation requirements, and educational programming.
The credit does not constitute an automatic right to participate in any future course, but may be used according to the terms and timelines communicated by the AIKA Secretariat.
In case of withdrawal communicated in the days immediately preceding the seminar, non-attendance without prior written notice, or unjustified absence, AIKA reserves the right to retain the full amount paid, without automatic recognition of credit for subsequent courses.
It is always possible to request the substitution of the participant with another person meeting the requirements for the seminar, upon written notice to the AIKA Secretariat and acceptance by the organization.
Submission of the registration form implies full acceptance of the financial, organizational, and cancellation conditions established for the seminar.
